Great that you try to clarify. YT embedding is still working as it used to. Or at least it should. Please have a look at the attached screen cast where I setup a clean WordPress and install Simple:Press and embed these three links below without any issues.

I can still use the embed links you have supplied both with the [youtube link] syntax and using a YT link with out any short codes. This is why I am a bit confused that you are still experiencing these issues.

Thanks for verifying the theme issue. Unfortunately we have no recommendation at the moment more than posting an issue with the developer of Astra to make them aware of the issue.

Yes we have released a fix for the YT linking, but we realized that the issue is also due to the link was malformated and had two ? questionmarks that broke the embedding when we updated the way that content was validated.

So a YT-link like the one provided as an example currently works but we recommend to replace the second ? with a & instead.

Are you using the latest version of Simple:Press at the moment?

Thanks for reporting this and for providing links and examples — that helps a lot. We’re currently working on resolving the mobile theme issue and will push a fix as soon as it’s ready.

In the meantime, the issues with saving the mobile theme and YouTube link embedding have been identified and will be fixed in the upcoming update as well.

To answer your first question: Yes, it is possible for users to upload and share images, video files, and other types of files. However, this functionality is available only with our File Uploader Plugin, which is an add-on that can be purchased separately. You can learn more about it and purchase it here: File Uploader Plugin.

Regarding anonymous users: Simple:Press does not allow file uploads from anonymous users by default. This feature is designed for registered users to ensure better security and control within your forums.

I believe that this is some kind of permission issue. If possible, please check your database and have a look in the table wp_sfmembers and look for the user you are logged in as. In that table there is a column called admin does your user have a 1 in that column? If not, add it and see if the issue persists.
