Thanks for the response.
There is no issue that I can find with the form, it works fine provided that hustle is disabled but fails to work on a page when hustle is activated. In this case it appears inside the popup but fails to work.
Pop ups otherwise work fine.
I can only conclude that there is a conflict issue between forminator and hustle. As I suspected, examining the form and popup individucally serves no purpose.
I tried changing the trigger, it makes no difference.
I will send an email for support.
Thanks, Jonathan
The staging site is set with all popups disabled except forminator and hustle and it uses the 2017 theme.
I have exported the full form, the shortened test form for dropdowns and the hustle pop up. These are at the following directory and should be accessible: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1h9dLxulvk7OrBiaA0GS2p6d6b2xnJlhv?usp=sharing
It is bizarre: with hustle de activated the donations form works fine. With hustle activated it appears on the pop up but the dropdowns do not work but the entire form disappears from any placement outside a popup.
Hope you can help, thanks, Jonathan
Thanks! Re the css problem, I have tried adding a css class to the buttons in the block editor and calling that via the popup behaviour but I cannot get it to work at all. If I want a class name of “popup-button” can you specify exactly the entries to make on the block editor and to add in hustle behaviour to create the popup trigger? I realise that perhaps this should be requested on the hustle thread though…
Also, can a hustle popup be triggered from a url? Popmaker has that option which has been quite useful. I found a workaround but wondering if it is possible?
Thanks again
Jonathan
Many thanks for your help.
I have done some further experimentation and testing.
Nothing seems to get the popmaker popups working reliably and therefore I decided to call time on this problem and switch to hustle. So long as the css snippet for the dropdowns is enabled that seems to run fine without any need for anything else in the form of an muplugin. So we have switched to that and with all plugins active it still tests fine so we have gone live again and will monitor for any further issues.
The one issue with hustle is that I cannot find out how to setup a css snippet to create a class to open a popup when a button is pressed and, since we have a number of buttons for the same popup, had to find the selector for each – which is likely to get tiresome later.
The popmaker issue remains unresolved and the snippet sent in the previous message seems to crash it completely. If you would like to explore this further then now we are operational I could set up a staging site and play around with popmaker a little more if this would be useful for you – but so far as I am concerned there is no need since we now have an alternative solution which seems sustainable.
Thanks again

Hi, I thought I had replied to this but somehow must have failed to submit it before navigating away.
I checked the plugin situation – not complicated as pretty much everything has been disabled for testing forminator. The optimizer plugin is causing some caching issue though, so I have disabled it and this is no issue.
There is still an issue though. with popmaker it is some kind of caching issue because I can occasionally get the form working. Any suggestions as to how to solve that? Hustle 1 on the forminator page seems ok and shows the credit card details but Hustle 2 where I tried to put the full form shows nothing – but this was done in a rush and maybe I set up the details wrong because nothing displays at all.
I am a bit snowed under just now and may not be able to look more at this until mid next week.
Thanks for your help

Hi, I have done some further checking this morning to make trial payments rather than just looking to see if the dropdown is working. Now we seem to have a problem that neither popup plugin displays the credit card payment box. This was not a problem before but now remains even if the additional css is disabled. The issue seem to be with both plugins and remains with hustle even if popup maker is disabled.
Can you suggest how to remedy this?
Many thanks
Jonathan
Interesting that you did not experience the consistency of the problem as I do. Your fix, however, seems to work for me (for both plugins). I need to check and test further to be sure that all is working correctly but hopefully the issue is now solved.
Many thanks for your help
Jonathan
We cannot make the site live because the crucial donations system is not working owing to the popup issue.
I have made a staging copy at staging4.classicconcerts.org.uk. This is a password protected url – I will email the password, please let me know here if you do not get it since there seems to have been some issue with direct email contact. The form testing page is /forminator. This has a simplified form with just the problem dropdown and email address fields of the main forms we actually use.
The staging site has only the security, hustle and forminator plugs enabled. If you need admin access I can provide this by email.
Thanks
Jonathan
Hi, thanks for the quick response. I have installed hustle and this generates exactly the same problem: when the form is inserted into a popup the crucial dropdown stops working. Does this indicate that the problem is within forminator and not the popup plugins?
I am not bothered which pop plugin we use but hope you can resolve so that at least one works.
Thanks
Jonathan
Hi Kris
Thanks for your response and sorry for the extremely slow response, this got pushed back again owing to an avalanche of other issues. One of those was the need to switch the site hosting and I suspect some of the issues we were having arose from the previous host – everything works way better now with this and other sites and I wish we had switched long ago.
This morning I was able to look again at the form issue and I seem to have narrowed it down. Using the latest plugin variant it seems to work fine except when the popup in which the form goes is activated. We use popup maker 1.16.9. When that is activated the forminator dropdown box stops working.
Is there any way you can help resolve that conflict? If not then if we have to choose we will probably drop the popup. We have a project coming, though, which needs a site which can use popups and forms and the problem here is that even if the form is not in a popup, activating the popup plugin stops forminator working. So it would be good to have both available here first!
With many thanks
Jonathan
I responded to your email on 2 September but have had no response. This issue is absolutely unsolved. Unfortunately I have not been available to chase it up until now.
There appear to be two key issues:
1. We cannot update the plugin otherwise the form fails to work at all
2. Payment fails if the amount is over £999.Disabling all other plugins doesnot remedy the issues. The first issue may be partially leading to the second but they both need sorting out or we will have to abandon this plugin. This would be a great shame because it is such a great one when it works!
Thanks
Jonathan
Hi, I re-enabled the mu plugin and tried using your version and get exactly the same issue. The fact that the field displays surely means it has a positive value but the payment never goes anywhere because when submitting the payment it gets the “This value must be greater than or equal to 1” error. Using the stripped down version presumably indicates that it is not anything else within the form which is causing this error.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks
Jonathan
That solves the matter of the stripe field not displaying but actually makes the mystery deeper: we are back to the original problem. Clearly if the stripe field displays then the amount payable is >0 but despite that, stripe refuses to process and kicks back the original error – This value must be greater than or equal to 1.
Can you shed any light on that?
Thanks
Jonathan
Hi, thanks. I have added this as suggested but it seems to make no difference. The stripe field still fails to display. I think it must be working because I first copied the text from email and that crashed everything. Now I have copied the code from this page the site works fine and presumably this is loading – but I see nothing about mu plugins on my wp dashboard.
Hi Dimitris, many thanks for gettting in touch.
The form is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qLm7tJ8JGkAjHn1B1-Dm_DWlgO0ves_3/view?usp=sharing.
The original version has the stripe field always showing and i worked fine until recent updates caused this error on all our forms. I amended to try to find the problem. The defalt amount is £1,000 and the calculaton field (amount payable) is made visible now and clearly shows this amount. Despite this the stripe field, set to be visible if the amount is >0, never appears.
My suspicion is that it somehow arises because the calculation arisesfrom adding two amounts, one of which is always zero. BUT, the amount itself is always >1 so I do not understand why or how the stripe field sees no calculation when the calculation is displaying correctly.
Hope you can help!
