Furthermore, wordpress version is 4.3.1. Can this be the reason?
Should I update to 5.1.1?

Thanks for the reply.
When I open the contact form menu in the wordpress administrator page, the following error appears:
“TypeError: Cannot read property ‘outerHTML’ of undefined
at scripts_admin.js?ver=1.4.1:5”
