The problem was possibly an incomplete plugin upgrade. I updated some other plugins and the WordPress version, and tried again. Now it worked without a glitch. Problem solved.
Thank you for replying. I deactivated and deleted the plugin after updating the woocommerce core. Things seem to work OK
I just had the same error, same solution too, I downgraded the plugin.

Are you planning an update, on PHP7 this plugin does no longer work, for the above mentioned reason (mysql_ functions removed) Inb fact I got a blank screen until I reset the PHP version used
