In fact, the problem is exactly that. The plugin doesn’t work on a multi-site in my case for any file type beyond the main site. I tried to upload a jpg 1.5MB and didn’t work.

I am having the same issue as well. mp3 or mp4 files 1MB can’t be uploaded. I trimmed them to 999K and was able to upload. Let me ask you, are you uploading to a multi-site? In my case I have a multi-site and the issue is only on the sub-domains. If I upload a 10MB mp3 to the main site of the multi-site I have no problem.
