In reply to: How to prevent spam blog postsThanks, no it’s not fixed yet. I have tried changing my admin password but this hasn’t worked. I wasn’t sure what you meant by ‘delete the old one’. Do you mean that I should delete my admin password, or actually delete the user account? Thanks in advance.

In reply to: How to prevent spam blog postsHi James,
Thanks for your quick response! I don’t have a post-by-email system set up to my knowledge. Where exactly would I look for this in my dashboard?
I had a quick check of the links you’ve sent (I’ll look at them in more detail shortly), but it looks like I might need to hire someone to help me with this (since I’m not a developer). Can you recommend where I would look for someone to help me with this?
Hi Luminus,
Thank you for your response. My apologies if I didn’t explain it the problem clearly. The problem is that the ‘Have a coupon?’ message appears on the CHECKOUT page AFTER the coupon has already been applied on the CART page. So the message is showing on the CHECKOUT page when it shouldn’t. I hope that makes sense.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [GetResponse for WordPress] Plugin won’t activate or delete despite updateAh, that was the problem! I updated my version of php and it’s now working. Thanks very much!
Hi again Rene. Unfortunately now when I try to open my staging site, I get a message saying “Access Denied. You need to log in first”. When I click on the login link, I just keep getting the message repeated.
Any ideas what is going wrong?
Kind regards
Oh wonderful, thanks very much! I’ll go and check it out.
Thank you very much for your prompt response. I have sent those details to you.

Glad to know I’m not the only one. It’s very frustrating as I’m not sure my forum members will want to be bothered resizing images before uploading (if in fact they even know how to resize their images).
An answer to this question would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Andrew,
My apologies for the late response! Thank you very much for your helpful answer. I wasn’t aware that the support engineers could apply solutions to my site for me – I thought that I would need to apply the solutions myself. Based on that I have purchased the PMPro Core membership.
I tried to purchase the Custom Post Type add-on that you linked to above, but it appears that I need to pay an additional US$100 to have access to this plugin! Is that correct (seems rather unfair, that I’ve purchased membership but don’t get the option of purchasing a single plugin without having to fork out an additional $100!)
I will post on the Member Forums as you suggest, and hope to get a solution that way.

In reply to: Best practice for updating plugins – advice pleaseThanks very much for your help @archie22is. Because of my ‘non-techie’ status, can I just clarify a couple of things:
1) When you say ‘duplicate the project to the same server or a similarly configured server’, is that the same thing as creating a staging site?
2) If I update and run the plugins on the duplicate project and they break something, do I then replace the plugins folder and database (on the duplicate site) with the back-up folder and back-up database that I made earlier?
3) OR do I use the duplicate project/site to test the updated plugins and if it breaks, I then have to create another duplicated site and start again? ie, can I use the duplicated site numerous times for testing.
Sorry, these questions probably sound really dumb, but all this stuff is very confusing to me.

In reply to: [Inline Image Upload for BBPress] Benefits of this pluginHi again,
I downloaded your plugin and started testing it out. It looks like it will be great for me except for one thing. On my Mac computer, the little modal window (hope that’s the right term) that pops up after clicking on the media icon, displays a little strangely. The button on the left hand side of the Cancel button, at the bottom of the window, displays blank with a blue border – no text.
Is this an issue with the plugin or do you think it’s something to do with my site?
I have a screenshot, but can’t send it as ironically there’s no media upload function on this forum! ๐
Also, I found that you have a Youtube video discussing Version 2 of the plugin. Is this likely to solve the problem when it’s released?
Thanks very much
