Thank you for your reply and suggestion.
I have tried doing that but I’m still not getting anything back to the email address I use for admin.
I know it’s the correct email address because I have the confirmation email I had sent when I created the site.

I have a similar issue in logging in to my wp admin page.
I carried out the instructions twice and got the following
    “Your request was received
We received a request to email “xxxxxx.com” instructions to unlock their access. If that is the email address of a site administrator or someone on the Wordfence alert list, they have been emailed instructions on how to regain access to this system. The instructions we sent will expire 30 minutes from now.”

However, I never received the email instructions to my nominated email address.I believe wordfence brute force is causing this.

    Please help.

I think I can be 99% sure it’s a plugin that’s causing the error. It was only happening on sites on which I had exactly the same plugins installed.
I’ve since set up other sites with different plugins and no longer have the problem.
I never got around to finding which plugin was doing it, but I suspect it’s a caching plugin so you might try disabling any you have installed to see if it rectifies the problem.

I don’t know what happened but the problem is no longer occurring on my sites.

I edited all the triangles out manually and since then have not had a problem with it.

I realize this is an old thread but it’s not solving the problem I’ve just encountered using the 2011 theme.
I placed 3 widgets in the main side bar (using side bar template)all in one text box which are showing up nicely. However, when I try to add a fourth, it does not show when published.
Soo…I added a further text box below the first one and placed the widget in it. But it’s not showing either.
    Any ideas??

I’ve been experiencing the same thing where spaces and apostophies are turning into the triangular question marks after publishing or editing posts. Just like that!
