In reply to: [Jetpack VaultPress Backup] ALWAYS Impossible to Contact Support!!I feel your pain. I’m having the identical problem. Jetpack support is essentially non-existent as far as I can tell.

In reply to: [Jetpack VaultPress Backup] Backup failing – maybe blocking requestsI have the same problem with Jetpack not being able to back up my WP blog hosted by Bluehost. Also, WP cannot update anything on the Bluehost site. I’ve been going in circles with Bluehost support and they are proving to be mostly unhelpful. I’ve tried the links to Jetpack support, which also seem mostly unhelpful. I’m getting really twisted off with this lack of support.
I’m having the same problem and I have not changed any settings since the last regeneration.
It seems highly unlikely that two, unconnected people will encounter the same problem, unless there is a problem not related to our personal systems.
I’ve been having the same problem for at least a year. It began with updating my Mac to the Monterey OS version; I’ve investigated and modified various security settings, as recommended by other, to no avail. I’m thinking the problem is in Jetpack’s e-mail software.
Any update on this matter? I’ve noted that blogs that I get from other WP bloggers have images that will load. Mine still do not load, even when I click the “Load Embedded Content”.
I suppose this relates to my blog posts, as well. I recently installed Apple’s fully released Monterey OS and I can load remote content from other sources, but not from my own blog post. It has been months since this problem was reported, surely there has been time to fix this problem, as it works for other remote content, why not WordPress remote content?
There is not much reason to have a photo blog, if the photos do not display and cannot be displayed on an Apple computer.

In reply to: Images in e-mailed post are much too largeHow long has this been the case?
This problem just popped up within the past couple of weeks.

In reply to: Images in e-mailed post are much too largeThe e-mail does not come from my Bluehost e-mail account. The only clue that I have about where the e-mail is generated is in the e-mail address: [email protected].
So the e-mail is generated somewhere on or via the wordpress site. How or by what is still a mystery to me, as I can find no settings on my site for the generation of the e-mail.

In reply to: Images in e-mailed post are much too largePoking around on Bluehost, I see that I have a basic email plugin on the host site, which must be where the email is generated. I’ll look at settings there and see if I can figure out anything. I usually do not do anything on the host site.

In reply to: Images in e-mailed post are much too largeTo the best of my knowledge none of my installed plugins are used to generate an e-mail. The e-mail is generated, when I click the publish button on a post. Where it is generated is unknown to me.
Here is a list of my installed plugins: Akismet Anti-Spam, Bluehost (recently added, after the image problem occurred), Classic Editor, Disable “BIG image” Threshold (added months ago to allow for uploading of large images, which does not seem to work, anyway and I scale my images to 2500 max long side prior to loading into the image library), Google Analytics for WordPress by MonsterInsights (not really used), Jetpack by WordPress.com, PHP Compatibility Checker, Stop Spammers, VaultPress, WPForms Lite.
I do not see anything in the descriptions of the installed plugins that suggest that any one of these generates an e-mail.

In reply to: Unable to upload imagesI have been downsizing my images, which works for the upload; but now, the images, which show up in the library thumbnails, load very, very slowly, when one clicks on them to edit images or add descriptions, etc. This is becoming a very frustrating issue to deal with. WP must be doing all it can to irritate users and drive them away. Not a very good business model.

In reply to: Unable to upload imagesSame problem here. Yesterday, when uploading a batch of images, most would upload, with maybe one that failed. Initially, I could re-upload the failed image with no problem. Eventually, that failed and now no images will upload. I’ve never had to reduce the image size to upload, but I greatly increased the allowable upload image size, with the same result. I recall having this same issue about a year ago after an upgrade and it seems that the fix then was fairly simple, but not this time. Purging the Cache does not cure this problem for me. Does anyone there have a solid fix for this problem?

In reply to: Media files not visible in libraryOk, I’m having the same problem with recently uploaded images not being visible. None of the previous suggestions make any sense to me. I’ve tried the only remedy that seemed possible for me to do and it did not work. This has just happened today. I got a notice last night that WP was upgraded to version 5.2.2. I strongly suspect that this upgrade is the culprit, but I have no idea how to go about getting this problem fixed and the online help system is mostly useless, in my experience.
Is anyone out there having a similar problem, since the recent upgrade or anyone with a suggestion about curing this problem?

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Gutenberg Editor is not user friendlyOrlando, thanks for taking time to give feedback. I’m sure that as time goes by, I will revert to Gutenberg, either by necessity or voluntarily, as I try to keep up with the evolution in the WP software. For now, to very loosely paraphrase a former Jets football team owner “I’m old, I need to do this now, I don’t have time to waste”.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Gutenberg Editor is not user friendlyOrlando, That is one of the things that I tried and failed at before I went back to the classic editor, so it is not as transparently easy as you suggest. The classic editor method of adding a link to a photo is transparent and intuitive. That is one can easily poke around and figure it out easily without instructions. Where as my poking around and trying what seemed to be the way to insert a link with Gutenberg is not so obvious and did not work, even after I found the Custom URL field and pasted a link into it. I even tried this multiple times to ensure that I did not have a typo or incomplete link. An editor targeted at users such as I and many others should not be this difficult to utilize.
