The word ‘Feedback’ keeps disappearing from my admin area, it’s been gone since I posted the first query.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: Browser incompatibility issueOkay, I found a plugin. It breaks the page upon load, but it does cure that issue. Hmm, I hope something better comes out I put in the ‘Browser Compatibility’ plugin. Thereafter, the first attempt at correction worked out fine.
By the way, can anyone tell me if the delay in load time that this browser compatibility gadget causes is just at my end? Or will it affect those reading too?

In reply to: Browser incompatibility issueI took a snipping tool cut of it and pasted it into my site, but you can’t see it. So instead I cut and pasted the error into a page for you to see.
Here is the link: http://www.judesmetaworld.com/about-us/
It’s the spaces before the crystal blog category link that are causing me issue.

In reply to: I have tried the WP robot txt plugin, not sure what happened.Well looking back I see why no one lined up to answer, I suppose being a real greenie with WordPress and SEO didn’t help any. Nonetheless, I stopped in to say that I found the answer.
The whole problem may well lie in the fact that Google only checks robot txt. files once a day. So there you go. If for any reason it isn’t rectified, I will have to change to self managed WordPress, as this clearly isn’t working for me.
I think I posted in the wrong forum, I was thinking that this was a plugin related issue. I guess not.

In reply to: I have tried the WP robot txt plugin, not sure what happened. Please let me know if I posted in the wrong forum. I asked about this on another thread elsewhere, and attempted to follow the advice I was given, but could not, as I am not allowed directory access, and GoDaddy staff won’t do this for me. So I had to go through the plugin, and was foiled again.

In reply to: Problems with a managed WordPress siteUgh, I thank you so much for your help, but the situation has now been resolved. I made an erroneous change in admin panel, and that’s what caused everything. I thought that might have happened and was going to look to see what the error was, but I kept getting kicked out no matter what I clicked on.
As it turned out, someone had put the wrong WordPress url in there, not sure how that happened, but all is good now.
So sorry for bothering.

In reply to: Problems with a managed WordPress siteI set up my WordPress site on a managed platform, just the template, header and empty pages, only the first had content. It looked right. Then the domain name I was awaiting the transfer of came through.
I was moving from Weebly to GoDaddy. So the name was then directed at my managed GoDaddy WordPress site, and that’s when my problems began.
When I open the WP admin login page, all images are corrupt, there are two dialogue boxes and some text, nothing else. When I log in to admin panel, all of the option links are blue instead of the usual black. When I hover over them, the background which is usually present is not there, so the links overlap the other page text.
The theme related images are missing but for one offered by GoDaddy.
As for my website, it is missing
all formatting, as well as the text background.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Problems with a managed WordPress siteThe site wasn’t moved from its previous location by the hosts, but it was likely moved during the process of setting up with them.
I think it was because when I started with them they gave me a temporary url. So they may have moved it, but I am not sure.
