In reply to: [Shopping Cart & eCommerce Store] FBA & CBAsorry for the short response, we posted a ‘Read Me’ at the top of this forum to where folks could redirect questions, it’s not that we don’t answer questions here, but we just don’t check frequently… don’t want people sitting here with a question thinking we don’t respond or support our product.
I don’t think wordpress lets us turn this forum off though, hence the read me 🙂 Unless someone knows how to turn off the support section here?
I will check out our forums, thanks for the heads up…

In reply to: [Shopping Cart & eCommerce Store] cost of licenceI think most of them sell from their own websites, so likely have to google and visit their sites… we did a cost comparison here of our shopping cart, which is $80 dollars and owned, no monthly costs from us… and the comparison was against a few other popular platforms.

You know, I was reading this and really am not sure how to approach it. I don’t see any ecomm solution at this stage meeting every need, and the EU has made the system almost impossible for folks to work with…
We do many of these, like collect IP addresses, we have VAT globally, VAT per country, but to do it per product, per country, per product type is just getting really out of control… just my rant 🙂
I think all I can say is we continually work to make it easier to work with, but until they start cleaning up the VAT and tax situation, it makes it difficult for us as developers to spend the time to build the complex structure needed for this…

The best place for support is on our website -> support and submit a ticket as we do not monitor these forums……….
but, all you really need to do is goto wordpress admin -> appearances -> menus and make yourself a custom main menu that includes just what you want, otherwise, wordpress will make the menu using your pages.
Depending on your theme, you can sometimes make other secondary menus, but that is theme dependent…

again… we do not provide support here, read the first post ‘READ ME’… but to answer your question, you need %postname% method to be used for permalinks. if not working, then likely another plugin conflict, cache program, or general setting url wrong.

We don’t support on this forum, but I am assuming you have wordpress installed, and installed the plugin into wordpress?
no need to jump to any wpeasycart.php file… this only installs as a plugin into a wordpress website, so you would install via wordpress admin -> plugins -> add new…

In reply to: [Shopping Cart & eCommerce Store] Its not freeit is free, we license the admin software to administrate… this allows us to give the plugin out for free, an not just in a wordpress site, but other platforms, while simply licensing the admin software. but we will continue to try and make it clear that it should run with a paid admin console

In reply to: 3.9.2 wp_update_post() removing custom post metaYep, we also are experiencing this issue in wordpress 3.9.2 and 4.0. any of our coding that calls wp_upate_post() we have to go back and reset permalinks to freshen them up… but even then it will lose them…
any solutions to this?

In reply to: [Shopping Cart & eCommerce Store] Poorly Designed and Full of Bugssorry to hear you had so much trouble… while I”m fairly certain it’s something specific to your site, we are always more than willing to support it and work toward finding a resolution.
While I do realize woocommerce is a free plugin, remember it will add up in costs for modules heavily… while we include what we have done for $80. If you compare apples to apples. We are trying hard to keep the plugin at a low cost while doing our best to include a feature rich application.
I do hear your concerns though, and perhaps if we can get a larger team, we can help add some polish 🙂
