You need to turn on buttons for the “(UltimateMember) User Profile” and “(UltimateMember) Member Directory” elements ( plugin settings “Buttons” tab) if you want to see them on “UltimateMember” pages.

The Like Button widget itself is powered by LikeBtn.com, i.e. LikeBtn.com is doing all the hard job of making sure votes are genuine and displaying Like buttons. The plugin allows integrating LikeBtn.com into WordPress.

We tested your shortcode – it works as it should. Please leave a message to our support through the plugin (just copy your upper message) and add there link to the page with this shortcode.
“The Event Calendar” is a plugin, we can’t say anything about it. Please contact its developer to get the desired information.
