I installed WordPress version 2.6.2 in IE 7.0 (Brazilian portuguese) receiving same error message and couldn’t write and edit post and pages. News links, categories etc could be written and edited.
I installed the Firefox default configuration (Brazilian portuguese) and now everything works.

I had some problems since upgraded to 2.6. After two days working and searching in this forum I “downgraded” to 2.51 and now I am a happy man!
