Thank you for your response. Interestingly, there is no error log for that timestamp, the next closest was from 12:54am, which was a core error for an ip address making an invalid uri request, but I did see several php fatal errors about memory usage exhaustion for wflogs/rules.php from much earlier in the day, which interestingly did not cause outages, so I’ve updated the appropriate files to increase memory usage to 256M. The mystery continues…
I am using Contact Form 7 (v 5.1.7) with additions for using reCaptcha v2 For Contact Form 7 (v 1.2.5), Contact Form 7 Conditional Fields (v 1.8.6), and Flamingo (v 2.1.1) to log messages received from the forms. Each are updated to their latest available version.
That’s my point though, I wasn’t getting anything. No server emails anything at all. Email was completely nonfunctional. I never received the email about the error. After deactivating the plugin I started seeing regular email activity again, but anything that was sent while it was active never went through.
I am using the latest version of WordPress. I think the theme we’re using just checks for the breadcrumb functionality in an awkward way that Yoast no longer recognizes. I just ended up rewriting it and it started working again. Thanks for your time.
I think I’ve discovered the issue. BBQ apparently thinks the localhost url is problematic. I switched browsers after not getting any console errors or being able to view the HTML page source for the blank page. That’s when I finally got a “403 access to localhost denied” error when trying to create a new form.
So I decided to try it on a hosted site with BBQ enabled to see if I would get any errors. I was able to create a new form with no issues. So I guess I just can’t create a new form on a local installation with BBQ enabled.
Unless you want me to try some other methods, I’m going to consider this issue resolved.
1. I am using the free version of BBQ
2. Page is completely blank, no UI.
3. MAMP has logs, but they are all dated prior to this issue. No new logs appear when I go through the process. I’ve turned on error reporting in php.ini, but I’m not seeing anything there either. Really strange.Since it’s a local site I don’t mind having BBQ off just for testing HappyForms, but I’m not sure if this will be an issue if I decide to use this plugin on a production site with BBQ enabled.

In reply to: [Gmail SMTP] Email suddenly failing, no changes other than routine updatesI am also experiencing this issue. As soon as I notice I’m no longer receiving emails from wordfence about updates or new comments/logins I begin to suspect that emails aren’t working. I’ve revoked/reauthorized twice so far. I haven’t managed to pin down just how long it takes until it stops working.
I’ve downgraded to 1.1.2 since I feel like this is a recent development. I’ll update if it happens again even on this previous version.
