It worked! Somehow the connection got corrupted or lost. I followed your instructions and although I got an unknown error using the debug tool, this somehow triggered something that enabled me to reconnect again, which wasn’t possible earlier.

I followed your instructions and the sharing buttons are gone now. It’s not that I want to entirely remove Jetpack, just Jetpack Social.

Thanks for your response. It’s the copyright 2023 line with the social sharing buttons at the bottom of every page on my website. It’s still visible, even after I tried to uninstall it via WPAdmin. I also tried to uninstall Jetpack, but to no avail. I was able to disconnect the site from Jetpack, but since I lost relevant data I reinstalled it again without Jetpack Social. Nevertheless this footer is still there on every page. Both deactivating and reactivating didn’t make a difference. So there must be some rogue code being still active. This is the homepage of the site: https://www.moederheil.nl/wp/.
I’ve followed the instructions on how to unlink a Jetpack site using the WordPress.com Dashboard and I ran the Jetpack Debug tool. The Debug tool generated an unknown error.Thanks for your help.

I have Jetpack Protect running to monitor any vulnerabilities. I know there’s a difference between the countdown version 2.4.8. and the title of the messages, but this is the only information I got. With regards to Countdown it shows two issues:
– Countdown & Clock <= 2.3.2 – Admin+ Stored Cross-Site Scripting. The plugin does not sanitise and escape some of its settings, which could allow high privilege users such as admin to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks when the unfiltered_html capability is disallowed See more technical details of this threat.

I wasn’t even aware of other sources to by your file. After having extracted the original zip file I installed it into my WordPress environment. And the installation was successful.
It contains another zipfile called child_theme-5ab79017-3860-426b-aa81-0e750a14153b-QFjRw.zip, some psd’s and a text file stating:

* Initial releaseHow am I to solve this now? I made the changes necessary as you described, yet the problem persisted. I paid for a file which clearly isn’t working and which isn’t named like the one you mentioned. I don’t feel like having to purchase another file or even having to purchase paid support at Mojo just to get this problem fixed, which shouldn’t be a problem at all.
This is very customer unfriendly and very unsatisfactory. I’m sure there are better ways to solve this.Regards,
