Update: I got the site online and doing so I had to rework each image source from C:// to my server’s path. I can only assume that the plugin didn’t work because it wasn’t hosted on an actual server but just putting the website online fixed the issue.

TLDR: works just fine when actually hosted.

I apologize for wasting your time, I’m just an amateur trying to make a website for his painter uncle. Thank you so much for your support, I’ll go ahead and mark this as solved.

The link contains the complete site (+900mb) Almost every page has a gallery, you shouldn’t have any trouble finding a page to test, even if the site is in italian.
