  • I’ve only installed postie today and although it’s showing emailed post titles ok, neither images nor text are being displayed.

My geekiness has its limits – I can’t understand why emailing to WP is so hard when it was one of the few things Blogger did properly.

Just create another site on a subdomain (assuming your hosting package lets you) and build it with same theme, plug-ins etc. It only needs a couple of posts of content for you to see how various updates will affect layout etc. Doing this lets you try out complicated stuff without being scared you’ll break the main site!

The latest (3.6.7) version of atahualpa still has the bug but if you know where to locate the css.php file on your server, it was a simple cut and paste job to update it. I have a dummy version of my blog on a subdomain for testing stuff out and I tried it there first – admittedly I’d have been terrified to do it to my main blog straight off but once I’d seen it work ok on 2 other subdomains of test sites I knew it was ok. I’d never edited any of my back end files before!

I have had this problem on 3 atahualpa sites. Today I tried the fix editing the css.php file and it was both easy and successful.

Oddly, the method that worked for someone above replacing the file with downloadable one didn’t work for me yet she’d had problems editing the existing file.

So it looks like both methods can work. Really pleased to have this sorted out.
