Neither of those scenarios are in play. I’ve tried re-indexing, but that doesn’t resolve the issue for the affected co-authors.

Okay, I’ve done some checking and it seems to be affecting just co-authors, and just *certain* co-authors, which is odd. It is indeed a chronological issue. So when those affected folks are listed as authors, all posts under their name are displayed when they are searched for. But for posts where they’re listed as a co-author, all but the most recent-dated post will display when you search for their name.
The posts in question can be found with no problems at all by searching for a word in their title or content, etc. Ditto if you actually click the co-author’s name to view posts associated with them.
