I followed your instructions by deactivating all plugins and found the one (Meta Generator and Version Info Remover) that was causing the problem. I think the website can do without this plugin 🙂

Thank you for looking into my problem.
I am using the Retail Therapy theme from Obox. The slider is a widget called Obox Slider, so I think it came with the same theme package.
I wonder if it is because the Theme design is not updated to version 5.5.3?
