  • Hey Mark

    not sure, what exactly your issue is.
    I had an issue with that plugin as well so that all posts or pages, which contains statements with [sgpx …] crashed.
    Solution was: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/update-gpx-map-to-1-7-10-brings-a-critical-php-error-2/

    Problem with plugin is now solved.
    I added the following line in wp-config.php:
    define(‘FS_METHOD’, ‘direct’);

    But I will send by email.
    Still have your email from the past.

    Each idea is welcome. Therefore I gave it a try , also knowing, it could failing.
    And thanks for suggesting to use the other plugin at least from now on for new articles.
    Do not want to change all my old articles. So will use the older version of GPX MAP as long as they will work. I like the oppertunity to show the track and add the photos to the map.
    Will check, if Leaflet Map + Extension would have similar offer.

    Hi Hupe13,
    now it becomes more worst.
    Before I run your suggested statements, the PHP fatal error only occured, when I call the page.
    Now after running , the follwoing PHP error also occure, when I enter the editor for the page.

    Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: ftp_fget(): Argument #1 ($ftp) must be of type FTP\Connection, null given in /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/wordpress/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-ftpext.php:146Stack Trace1.ftp_fget(NULL, Resource id #133, ‘/share/CACHEDEV…’, 2)/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/wordpress/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-ftpext.php:1462.WP_Filesystem_FTPext->get_contents(‘/share/CACHEDEV…’)/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wp-gpx-maps/wp-gpx-maps.php:3643.wpgpxmaps_handle_shortcodes(Array, ”, ‘sgpx’)/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/wordpress/wp-includes/shortcodes.php:4344.do_shortcode_tag(Array)[internal function]:05.preg_replace_callback(‘/\\[(\\[?)(sgpx)(…’, ‘do_shortcode_ta…’, ‘\n<p><strong>Jah…’)/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/wordpress/wp-includes/shortcodes.php:2736.do_shortcode(‘\n<p><strong>Jah…’)/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/wordpress/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php:3247.WP_Hook->apply_filters(‘\n<p><strong>Jah…’, Array)/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/wordpress/wp-includes/plugin.php:2058.apply_filters(‘the_content’, ‘<!– wp:paragra…’)/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/wordpress/wp-includes/rest-api/endpoints/class-wp-rest-posts-controller.php:19339.WP_REST_Posts_Controller->prepare_item_for_response(Object(WP_Post), Object(WP_REST_Request))/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/wordpress/wp-includes/rest-api/endpoints/class-wp-rest-posts-controller.php:63510.WP_REST_Posts_Controller->get_item(Object(WP_REST_Request))/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/wordpress/wp-includes/rest-api/class-wp-rest-server.php:129211.WP_REST_Server->respond_to_request(Object(WP_REST_Request), ‘/wp/v2/pages/(?…’, Array, NULL)/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/wordpress/wp-includes/rest-api/class-wp-rest-server.php:112512.WP_REST_Server->dispatch(Object(WP_REST_Request))/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/wordpress/wp-includes/rest-api.php:57613.rest_do_request(Object(WP_REST_Request))/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/wordpress/wp-includes/rest-api.php:295714.rest_preload_api_request(Array, ‘/wp/v2/pages/53…’)[internal function]:015.array_reduce(Array, ‘rest_preload_ap…’, Array)/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/wordpress/wp-includes/block-editor.php:75316.block_editor_rest_api_preload(Array, Object(WP_Block_Editor_Context))/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/wordpress/wp-admin/edit-form-blocks.php:7717.require(‘/share/CACHEDEV…’)/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/wordpress/wp-admin/post.php:18718.{main}thrown in /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Web/wordpress/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-ftpext.php on line 146

    When I use the Classic Editor I can modify the page content, but running the page only shows a empty page.

    The cache inside the GPX MAP plugin was never used. And I also deactivate the plugin WP FASTES CACHE.

    Downgrading PHP is not an option for me. Also modifying code.
    Meanwhile I gone back to my former used version 1.7.8.
    I’m wondering, why someone offer this new version 1.7.10 also with new function, but do not react on upcoming issues with the new version.
    I know, that some years ago these Plugin was deactivated due to security issues.
    Thats why I was happy that a new version was released now and want to use it.
    I also open a message in http://www.devfarm.it/forums/forum/wp-gpx-maps/ even this Blog is not so actual.
    In 2022 I was already in contact with one of the developers. This would be the last chance from my pov to get the needed support.

    Even I disable the mentioned plugins (Photo Gallery, WP Fastest Cache) the PHP Fatal error is still there.
    Let me know, if I can provifr more logfile insides to get an idea, where the issue could be located.

    Hi pablo2
    first of all: Happy New Year.
    I followed the description. But the result is the same.

    Could it be, that my gpx file is not compatible? I generate it with LocusMap.
    I already load it to other applications like goole earth and save it again. But not working as well.

    Cant upload it here as an example. So would it be possible to send by email?

    Some more info:
    When I look into console (F12) for the different browsers, I see messages like:
    Access to fetch at ‘https://www.bing.com/maps/instrumentation?q=&feature=sdk&#8217; from origin ‘https://wecke03.myqnapcloud.com:8081&#8217; has been blocked by CORS policy: No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource. If an opaque response serves your needs, set the request’s mode to ‘no-cors’ to fetch the resource with CORS disabled.

    Not sure if these will lead into some direction.
