  • Update: I did find the color drop down menu. I prefer to use the Classic Editor, so had to switch to the Block Editor to find it. But yeah… I need select text to be colorized. Not just entire paragraph. I don’t know who thought taking away the ability to change individual text color was a good idea, but, In terms of ideas? It was New Coke bad.

Am I dolt? It’s known to happen a little too often, but I see no Color Settings Panel. Beside, I don’t want to change the header colors.

“Don’t worry. We’ll add back the option in the next release”. That doesn’t exactly help my work at this time. Is there a time estimate for next release? Will it also address the body color text options and not just the header color?

I use colors for sources and author’s notes. Example: [1] (in red), and the corresponding source text [1] (red) is at the bottom of the page. And I use the symbols * and # for author’s notes and updates. I have a great deal of notes and sourcing to add at this time before I publish. I colorize the numbers and symbols because they can get lost in the text when all text is black.
I also change text colors for words, sentences, and paragraphs for editing purposes. My editor and I have a color code for various reasons.

I have tried to cut and paste the colorized numbers from the Notes app and Pages. It automatically reverts to black when pasted.

Apologies on my long windedness. And also if I am merely failing to see the options. I am not savvy at these sort of things and can get frustrated too easily.
