Worked around by rolling back to a previous version.
Not sure if it is related, but this happened to me when I upgraded to the next minor version. It was spewing a bunch of html code in the menu section. I went in and deleted and recreated the menu and it worked. Kind of a workaround but it fixed it.
I worked around this by rolling back to the previous version using wp-rollback (so the troubleshooting link will appear resolved). I am nervous about using this new version at this time. I will wait for the next major version and hope it solves the problem.
If you have an update, I’d be curious to know what the solution was.
