  • Hey there @applina

Sorry for the delay in getting to your post here. Thanks for providing this report and the logging you were able to find.

I was hoping you could provide some additional insight on how you’re seeing this error present itself. Specifically:
    – Do you see any unexpected behavior appear as a result of this logging?
    – Are you able to use the plugin as normal with making purchases and using e-commerce features in MailChimp?
    – Do these errors affect other parts of the site behaving normally?

Thanks for providing this additional insight on symptoms of this for us. We’ll keep an eye out for your reply.

    Hey Alex @insiteadvice

I would keep an eye out for updates to the plugin itself. That’s the only method through which updates or changes will come. We’ll be using this case as a starting point as well as any testing we can do on our own and any other users that may encounter this behavior.

Let me know if you have any further questions,

    Hey Alex @insiteadvice

Thanks for going that extra mile to test things a bit further for us!

Upon logging into a user account in our test environments, I am able to reproduce this behavior. While I don’t have an ETA for a fix, I am going to go ahead and pass this along to our team internally for further investigation and testing.

Thanks again for bringing this to our attention. For future reference, if you do encounter unexpected behavior in the plugin that appears to be a bug, feel free to check out the plugin’s Github Issues page to report it. Our team is glad to help.

    Thanks,
    Malachite

    Hey @wptweaks

Thanks for the feedback. I just wanted to chime in and offer some troubleshooting assistance to see if it’s possible to get things up and running or identify any unexpected behaviors that our team can take a closer look at ironing out.

As the sync does not have a “resync” button available, it sounds like the sync is getting stuck, as we expect that button to show up until the sync process has finished. If you have the time, could you provide a few more details on the situation to better inform the testing on my end?

    – How many products and orders is the site attempting to sync?
    – If you go to the Logs tab and enable Debug logging, does anything show up while the sync is running?
    – Would you be able to share the site’s WooCommerce System Status Report?

Thanks in advance for these helpful details. I’ll keep an eye out if you’re able to share any of this with us.

    Hey there @cfm168

The MailChimp for WooCommerce plugin can handle a high volume of customers. There is no limitation set on the number of customers that can be synced with the plugin.

I went ahead and did some testing and did not find any conflicts or unexpected behavior while running Contact Form 7 on the site. However, I would recommend testing in your own server environment to be sure things work smoothly with your setup.

Finally, I’d just like to clarify that our plugin only syncs customers who made a purchase in WooCommerce. This plugin does not pull information from other plugins such as Contact Form 7. I might recommend looking for a separate integration or plugin that will connect Contact Form 7 directly to MailChimp.

If you have any further questions about the MailChimp for WooCommerce plugin, feel free to let us know.

    Hey there @cfm168

Automations are a feature included in any MailChimp account. You can follow the directions provided in the “Create an Automation” article I linked above to see how to build one in your MailChimp account.

Lists are managed in the MailChimp app, while our plugin simply syncs purchase information from WooCommerce to MailChimp. In order to look into getting Contact Form 7 contacts synced over, I would recommend talking to their support team to see if they have a direct integration with MailChimp, as ‘MailChimp for WooCommerce’ is only pulling contacts gathered via WooCommerce.

Additionally, if you’re working on how to manage this all in your MailChimp account, MailChimp’s Support Team is also available to lend a hand.

If you have any further questions about the plugin, feel free to let us know.

    Hey there @insiteadvice

Sorry for the delay on our end over the weekend. Thanks for sharing all that detailed information. I can see that this site does meet the minimum requirements to run the plugin as expected. I did some testing on my end in a few different testing environments and was unable to replicate this behavior.

I’m wondering if you would be able to share with me a specific step-by-step workflow you’re taking to consistently reproduce this issue? If it’s possible, a screen recording of this behavior taking place would be helpful to our team as well.

    Thanks again,
    Malachite

    Hey @cmyla

Thanks for getting in touch. I went ahead and did some testing with the newest version of WooCommerce on v3.2.4 and things appear to be working as expected. You should be able to upgrade to the latest version of WooCommerce without any trouble.

That said, if you do see anything unexpected, feel free to write back and I’d be glad to provide some assistance in troubleshooting. Generally, I would ensure your site meets the WooCommerce System Requirements and in the event of unexpected behavior, see if switching to a different theme or deactivating other plugins helps.

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Malachite

    Hey @cfm168

The best way to automatically send emails after a product is delivered is using MailChimp’s Automations feature. While we here in the ‘MailChimp for WooCommerce’ support forums wouldn’t be able to speak too deeply to this, I’ve pulled some Knowledge Base articles you can check out:

    Create an Automation: http://eepurl.com/cZlrnf
    Create Order Notifications: http://eepurl.com/cZlrsP

And I’m afraid we don’t provide any comparative analysis against other plugins. I would recommend testing your site with both plugins to see which one is a better fit for your needs.

If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to let us know.

    Thanks,
    Malachite

    Hey @zharrison

Thanks for sharing your feedback. I would like to investigate this conflict our plugin seems to be presenting with Stripe’s payment processing here. If you have the time to share some useful troubleshooting information with us, I would greatly appreciate it:

    – What is the specific plugin being used to enable Stripe as your payment processor?
    – If possible, could you provide the affected site’s WooCommerce System Status Report?

Thanks in advance for this. If you have any questions about the MailChimp for WooCoommerce integration, feel free to let us know.

    Hi @peeyooshk,

Thanks for reaching out and sending us that information. Sorry to hear that you’re catching these errors in your logs. To dig in, is the plugin working at all on your end, and if it is misbehaving could you elaborate a bit more about the issue you’re running into, functionality-wise? If you could get back to us with your WooCommerce System Status Report that would be really helpful in the troubleshooting process as well. Additionally, if you enable bug logging in the MailChimp for WooCommerce plugin, are any errors appearing in those logs as well?

    Thanks!

    Hey @collinsfm316

Thanks for your feedback. I came across your review and wanted to chime in and see if there was anything I could do to help lend a hand in troubleshooting this with you here. If you are interested, could you provide a few details and I can help take a look?

    – Could you describe specifically what occurred when you observed the plugin breaking your site?
    – Is there anything present under the “Logs” tab in the MailChimp for WooCommerce plugin settings when this occurred?
    – If you have any error logging or screenshots, this will be
    – Finally, could you share the site’s WooCommerce System Status Report?

Thanks in advance. I’ll keep an eye out if you’d like to troubleshoot further.

    Hey @mike1mus

I appreciate you sharing those candid thoughts. I do want to be sure our developers are able to track these sorts of issues when they crop up.

I agree that having logging available before the sync kicks off would be more useful and accessible. If possible, could you share with us anything that you do see in the Logs tab after the sync starts and then gets stuck? I’m going to be passing this to our development team and want to get a complete scope of the issues you’re seeing on the site.

    Thanks again Mike,
