(I posted this message in another thread, but after two weeks of waiting with no reponse, I’ll try to repeat it here:)
We often use the “internal embed” function, referring our users to other blogposts and articles we have published. However, since the latest WordPress update, all these embedded references now come up with this code-snippet on top of them:
“Deprecated: Function print_emoji_styles is deprecated since version 6.4.0! Use wp_enqueue_emoji_styles instead. in /home/[directoryxx]/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6031“
I noticed soon after the update that the WordPress technicians are aware of the problem, so I was hoping there’d be a new upgrade where the issue would then be fixed. But that hasn’t happened so far.
It is becoming unbearable that our users have to see this error on almost all our pages.
I was hoping that the upgrade to 6.4.2 would fix it, but no – it didn’t.
Is there a way to remove this line which appears on almost every page on our website? (where we have 1,000 pages)If you scroll to the bottom of this page: https://climatesafety.info/climaterevolution6/
you will see what I am talking about.WordPress has now been updated to 6.4.2, however the “Deprecated” error is still there.

Again: thanks for clarifying that.
When I wrote “wordpress-page” above, I actually meant “wordpress-post”.
Apparently we’ve been using the PowerPress functionality in a wrong way for about a year, and the funny thing is that it worked seamlessly for us during all that time.
Now we found that page we apparently missed when installing the plugin, https://create.blubrry.com/resources/powerpress/using-powerpress/creating-your-first-episode-with-powerpress/ – and learned to look for that field at the very button (kind-of hidden, unless you know where to look for it) where to add the audiofile URL.
Now we are back on track. Great!
Thanks for your assistance with this, Shawn. Beautiful!
Regards from The Sustainable Hour teamThanks for clarifying this, Shawn!
Until now, the way we’ve been adding a new podcast has been to 1) create a wordpress-page for it, and 2) upload the sound file to wordpress and insert it on this page = ’embedding’ it, which means wordpress inserts this code-snippet:
[audio mp3="https://climatesafety.info/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/sustainablehour245_032kbp.mp3"][/audio]
Doing that in itself doesn’t update the podcast-feed or get it out in iTunes. Which was why we then updated the Import function. We haven’t figured out how to update each new episode to the feed “manually”, but will look harder for it now.

https://climatesafety.info/thesustainablehour245 stems from this code:
[audio mp3="https://climatesafety.info/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/sustainablehour245_032kbp.mp3"][/audio] back-end, whereas the place where the [powerpress] code is inserted back-end is blank front-end. I reckon once we get the general feed to work, this will also work again. It does work on the older pages.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.Dear lukejanicke,
I did exactly what you described – deactivate>re-install>re-activate – but it didn’t change anything. The problem persists.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: An error occurred in the upload. Please try again laterI am also experiencing the exact problem. I can see that a lot of people are. How to fix it? Anyone out there who figured it out?
