    Bingo! Thank you so much…

Turning off the Jetpack plugin allowed the images to display correctly. Re-enabling Jetpack plugin and all is good.

Tell me please what pointed to that problem so I can learn something from this problem.

    Again,
    Thank you

@west7 thank you for the reply.

The HTML below presents the image:

    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="http://70.20.54.49:90/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=snapPicture2&usr=[USERNAME]&pwd=[PASSWORD]&t=&quot; alt=&quot;&quot;" alt=""/></figure>

But when replacing the URL above with the URL below, the image is not presented:

    http://[USERNAME]:PASSWORD]@70.20.54.49/cgi-bin/snapshot.cgi?channel=15

Why should the format of the URL not be presented by WordPress?
Well the answer appears in the Inspect Element fo the browser as you suggest:
[Deprecation] Subresource requests whose URLs contain embedded credentials (e.g.https://user:pass@host/) are blocked. See https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5669008342777856 for more details.

This is blocked in Chrome, Edge and Brave. But the image is rendered in Firefox.

I will look at this more but if I can’t embed the image as I prefer, I will create a button that brings the user to the image. That works.

I thank you for responding. Input from others creates new approaches.

I was thrilled to see this as an alternative but unfortunately it isn’t working. When the URL is presented in the “Current media URL” field it succeeds when clicking on it. However, when previewing the page, only the caption is rendered.

I don’t think this is the problem but I can’t get rid of the “The image has an empty alt attibute; its filename is snapshot.cgi” I’ve added the alt=”xxxx” in the url but the error persists.

If there is anything else you can suggest, I’m eager to give it a try.

    Thank you

Update: After working with the renewal process for a couple of days, things are working very smoothly with the existing functionality. The solution is:

1 – Create new Membership Levels. In my case we have about 8 levels but for this example we’ll deal with only one: “Family”. Family is the current year with a fixed expiry of 4/1/2o21.
2- Create new, additional Membership Level: “Family 2022” with Expiry date 4/1/2022.
3 – In the WP Membership>>Payments>>Manage Payment Buttons, assign the new Membership Level to the appropriate PayPal button.

This is now working very well. After reviewing the most recent renewals on the Transactions tab, I bulk delete them each day.

    I appreciate your response.

No. The problem is not fixed however I have a kinda(sic) found a workaround. I also understand the problem better.

Posting that link helped provide a workaround though it’s not perfect. Unlike Edge, IE, Safari and Brave browsers, Chrome and Firefox is where I see the problem. The problem occurs when a user authenticates to the “Members Only” area and then tries to access the page containing the code pasted in the original post. The workaround is to take that same page and make it’s Parent, Main Page (no parent) and add protection. That allows all browsers except Firefox to see the image once the user authenticates. I can live with this though Firefox is a fairly popular browser.

The core of the problem is that the cameras have a certificate that is not recognized by Firefox. That would be OK if Firefox did not force HTTPS and would allow HTTP in the url. Firefox app on my Android phone has no problem.

Again, I appreciate your response. If there some suggestion, I’d love to hear it but I’ve been all over the Internet trying fixes for the Firefox problem. It appears to be browser specific and not server specific.

I checked with my ISP. They are able to prevent HTTPS for the whole site not for individual urls.

Again the page contains HTTP image but when opened in Chrome, there is no image. Edge, Firefox and Safari are fine. What is it about Chrome?

@a2hostinglk – Thank you for responding. The url points to a password protected area of the web site. I posted a test user earlier but subsequently learned that this is a violation of the forum. This makes sense.

I am unsure as to where to start. As I said, the html for the cameras are “http” but when inspecting the element in Chrome, I see that the url has been converted to “https”. As you suggest, I’ll contact the service provider.

    Thank you

My problem is that I can’t find the support forum for Luzuk’s Expert Lawyer Pro. Would you please paste that URL here?

    Thank you.

Thank you for suggesting template_include as an avenue that I should explore. I see the doc here

    Hi,

Thank you for responding. Because there is a subscription cost we created an alternative solution. Rather than allowing a customer to name their price, we created 6 fixed price options.

Because this is such a minor part of our store we don’t feel the need implement Name Your Price for multiple variations.

    Again thanks for responding.

I found this documentation for this specific task that works fine but the child thems can’t be used so I created a folder inside the theme folder:

    Widget Edits

My concern is that this folder will get overwritten when the theme is updated. Is this a concern?

    RESOLVED
The mistake I was making was assuming that when a user chose a value from the drop-down, the price associated with that value would appear. Actually, a single attribute ($50) must be associated with a price ($50) and not leave it with “Any Price”.

This behavior is not unique to the test site. This is the url to the live site where we see the same behavior:
    Live site same behavior

What happens when Simple WordPress Membership is disabled as well?

I disabled the plugin so that there are now none. The behavior is the same.

Please let me know if there is more that you need. In the event it is necessary, I also have access to the file system.

    Thank you
