I am having the same problem! I created a site using the twenty fourteen template and I have set my front page to static. When I try to set my posts page to the page I created called “blog” nothing shows up. I tried setting my front page to show recent posts to see if that worked and it is blank as well. I uninstalled all my plug ins to make sure that wasn’t messing it up but it did not change anything.
So frustrating! I have been playing with it for about 2 weeks and posted for help before but no responses. Please help!

Thanks for your response. I think I may have been unclear about what I mean. I want the static front page (my home page), but I want the “Blog” page (which shows in my header menu) to show my posts. Does that make sense?
