In reply to: [Autoptimize] Cant Exclude ReCaptcha Code or FileWorks for me too
Thanks
Scrub previous info as 198.187.29.186 is the host ip address.
Just checked on another host and it is the same requiring the host IP to be allowed.
Here is my example…..AuthUserFile /dev/null
AuthGroupFile /dev/null
AuthName “WordPress Admin Access Control”
AuthType Basic
<LIMIT GET>
order deny,allow
deny from all
# whitelist Fred’s IP address
allow from aa.bb.ccc.dd
# whitelist Sandy’s IP address
allow from aa.bb.ccc.ee
# whitelist Paul’s IP address
allow from aa.bb.xxx.ff
# whitelist Wordfence IP address
allow from 198.187.29.186
</LIMIT>Not really sure of the reasons but wordfence seems to require the host ip address in the allow arguments.
As the use of .htaccess in the admin directory is is one of the well know methods of stopping access to these files it may be good to put this fact on the FAQs or whatever.Regards
Fred
OK
I did some working out and the actual IP address that needs to have access is 198.187.29.186.
So where does Our servers are from 69.46.36.0 to 69.46.36.32. come in?This also just started for me this week on 4 of my sites and I’m also using Namecheap.

In reply to: [Quick Cache (Speed Without Compromise)] Update and i Have errorHi Kochan
<FilesMatch “\.php$”>
AddHandler x-httpd-php53 .php
</FilesMatch>Screws up mu machine – sorry
I have found that since I took off the “Enable Live Traffic View” option I have not had the problem.
Think it happened when I ran some seo link tests and sitemap generation at the specific website.
So I conclude thaty it must be tied up with volume of work required for traffic viewing when the incoming traffic builds over a certain level.
Good luck to all – I’m happy with what I have now.Me too –
It would seem that we shall not get any response with this – can’t understand why this is so
I too would be interested to know this as I have just realised this as well
