In reply to: WordPress and Site URL problemMy Bad…
Problem, lack of knowledge on how IE 11 functions. I seems that even though I had cleared the cache on the PC, deleted history, there was still a pull down list of URLs available on the address bar. That, along with having autocomplete turned on immediately defaulted my entry to the yyy.org entry when I was typing http://www.yyy.org.
I do not know which “Changing The Site URL” step corrected my problem.
I do not know whether I will be able to successfully assign a URL without the www. prefix
… and at this point do not have the time to mess with it.
Thank you for your patience.

In reply to: WordPress and Site URL problemAs additional information, I believe the problem centers around the homepage which in my case is a reuse of the “About this Site” page. I use this static page as the starting point. Of interest, if I provide a fully qualified path to somewhere on the site, (www.yyy.org/category/news/) content is displayed and things work fine. As soon as I click on the Home link I am sent back to the NAS – Main Web Server message that comes from the root web server.
I continued to be puzzled but, am interested in your thoughts. Of note, I have also searched through the database and cannot find any issues. I also substituted a different page as the homepage and had the same problem. Thanks

In reply to: Wrong URL displayed from a single site virtual host installBased on the following data from the WordPress documentation:
Site Address (URL)
Enter the address you want people to type in their browser to reach your WordPress site. This is the directory where WordPress’s main index.php file is installed.
And the fact that I am using a virtual hosting on a QNAP platform, I tested a change to the Site Address URL. I changed it to http://www.honestyfirst.org which is the explicit address I want users to type to reach this site.
Please note after a slight delay, and multiple login attempts, the system allowed me back in and all looked normal but….
In fact the only page available was the static “About” homepage. I am now working to reconfigure back.

In reply to: Wrong URL displayed from a single site virtual host installWell, I have been able to address several other theme related items but, I cannot find anything that will help me resolve the IP display issue stated above.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In reply to: Wrong URL displayed from a single site virtual host installjholder83864,
Thank you for your thoughts on this. I did as you recommended. I enabled DMZ and entered the IP for the QNAP server as the default DMZ address. I rebooted the QNAP and verified that everything was running correctly.I then used my cell phone as a way to access the site without using any LAN connection. The pages came up the same. The URL is correct on the initial access to the homepage. As soon as you go to any other page on the site, 97.76.105.250 replaces the registered URL http://www.honestyfirst.org. Of note, once you access a post and this change occurs, the address is also changed for the homepage. If I re-enter http://www.honestyfirst.org, the homepage displays and the problem happens again as soon as I delve deeper into the site.
I have disabled the DMZ option on my router and will continue to look to see if I have something configured wrong.
Any additional thoughts on what might be wrong is appreciated.
