However, we’ve encountered an issue when using Stripe + Apple Pay

When a subscription plan is configured with:
Price: 100 zł / week
Sign-up Fee: 10 zł
Free Trial: 1 day

…the Apple Pay modal still displays the full 100 zł, as if it will be charged immediately — even though only the Sign-up Fee of 10 zł is actually charged at checkout.

This can cause confusion for end-users, who are led to believe they are paying the full recurring amount upfront.

We are also exploring a related use case:

Can we offer users a lower-tier subscription plan (e.g., 10 zł/week), and if they don’t cancel it within 7 days, automatically switch them to a higher-tier plan (e.g., 100 zł/week) — without manual intervention?
