In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] Internal Server Error When Making LiveI think you will need to talk to your hosting company to resolve this. When you choose Make Live we open another tab on your browser from javascript (running in your browser) with a url that points to a php file in the MyCurator plugin directory. It could be one of two things:
- You (or your host) need to make sure that the wp-content and wp-content/plugins directories both have file permissions set to 755 or lower. If they are publicly writeable (usually 777 permission) MyCurator will be blocked by WordPress from operating.
- Your host may be blocking this type of call to open a page that is a php file in a subdirectory of WordPress. You would have to ask their support if this is the case.
While you are waiting to hear from the host, you can clear the option “Edit post when made live?”. You will now see [Make Draft] and [Make Live] as training tags. You can choose to Make Draft and it will make the article a draft post and you can edit it using the Post menu item. Make Live will publish it immediately and you won’t be able to edit it before it is live.

Sometimes the software is not able to grab a picture because they are encoded in non-standard ways. I’d be happy to investigate further. In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] Blank iFrameThe problem is that you need to create a Topic in MyCurator before the Get It bookmarklet will work. MyCurator uses the Topic to figure out what to do with the article you found, but since there isn’t one created, it just saves the title and link. You can read the Topic Documentation or view the Topic Training Video for more details.
It is a bug that we don’t warn you when you use the bookmarklet without a Topic. We will make a fix to warn you in the future if you try to use the Get It tool without a Topic.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] How to you empty the logs?If you changed your keywords in the topic, you are right that previously skipped articles will not ‘re-appear’ after your changes.
MyCurator only goes back about 7 days, it is built to focus on keeping up with the new stream of articles each day. We really don’t have a way to ‘reset’ it. But with so much content being created each day, you’ll quickly have enough new content to work with.
You can also go to sites that you know have some content that you ‘missed’ with your changes and use our Get It tool to grab it.
If you changed some formatting options, you still should be able to edit any article from the Training page when you go to make it live. You can update it to what you would like to see in the editor.

This is the default option and is probably why it looks right in the second blog after you installed MyCurator.

Do you have the option “Show original article link, not readable page?” checked or unchecked in the Curation tab of the MyCurator Options menu? Also, what do you mean by preview the post – from the editor, or by clicking on a link such as “Click here to view full article”?

Received link, problem turned out to be CSS from the site theme that was hiding the training tags.
