In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] How To Just POST THE CONTENT?MyCurator works in the background and delivers articles from your Sources to the Training Posts menu item every few hours. Your MyCurator Dashboard menu item shows when that will run and if it has processed articles in the last 24 hours. If you would like, please send a screen shot of the MyCurator Dashboard to me at [email protected] and we can see if there are any issues that may be holding up the delivery of articles from your Sources.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] How To Just POST THE CONTENT?It is in your main WordPress Dashboard, not under MyCurator, usually the next one after the Comments menu item (it is a custom post type so WordPress forces it to the main dashboard menu).

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] How To Just POST THE CONTENT?MyCurator is focused on manual curation, and has a lot of powerful tools to make that more productive. Unfortunately the downside is a more complicated, slower ramp up. To post content you can go to Training Posts menu item and hover over the title of an article and you will see tags appear. Click on Make Live to post the content and edit it, adding your comments and opinions. You can also train the system by using the green thumbs up (good) and red thumbs down (bad) to help it find the best articles for you in the future.
The Training Post page, and all MyCurator pages, have a button that says “Need Help?” which you can click to reveal a short video about how to use that page/function of MyCurator. We also have all of the videos and documentation at our site.
We do have an Autopost option that you can use after you have trained the system a few times. We don’t recommend it as your sole curation option as it doesn’t yield SEO results like a well curated article and can cause problems with search engines and copyright.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] No Training Posts FoundCron is kicked off when you have visitors. If visitor count is low, it may not start up regularly. Also it seems to just not always work. Here is a solution to use your Server for cron timing Server Cron: https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/wordpress/real-cron-job/

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] No Training Posts FoundGo to the MyCurator Dashboard and make sure Cron is running. If so, see if you have a count of articles that have been processed in the last 24 hours. If so, click on the Articles word and the log will show a list of articles and the Message column will show what happened to it – ie why it was not posted to your Training Posts. Also, if there are Errors, click on the Error word to see what Errors have occurred.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] No Longer able to click to add contentUsually this is because another plugin is using some non-standard javascript libraries. MyCurator expects the standard WordPress javascript libraries to work. You could try deactivating plugins to see if it starts working again. You can also contact us at support at target-info.com for site access.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] Few articles posting even to TrainingIt could be that the Sources you use are not providing many articles or the keywords may be in the more exclusionary Topic Search 1 line or other issues. Could you contact us at support at target-info.com and we can get into more details about your specific set up and some screen shots.
To capture images MyCurator needs the switch allow_url_fopen On in PHP.ini – contact your host to check this. If it isn’t on, we can’t capture images from websites. Your host may have turned this off recently as part of a security update that they did on their servers.
For the Get It problem, please email us at support at target-info.com. We may need to ask some confidential information about your site.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] Articles founded without error not postedThe message “No Search 1 Word” means that the Topic Search 1 Keyword(s) in your Topic were not found in the article. So MyCurator is gathering articles, but since they do not have your Search 1 Keyword, they are NOT posted to the Training Posts. Here is a link to our documentation with more information on setting keywords: Topic Doc. The Topic Keyword Tips midway down should help.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] Force RetrievalThere are two ways. From the Logs menu item, choose Request from the Article drop down. Then click on the URL of the article you want and when you get to the web page, use the Get It tool to capture it.
For bulk retrieval, go to the Topics menu item and click on the Run AI Process. This will manually run the Request process to grab any articles that are requested and are available. It may not grab all of your outstanding requests as these may not have been fulfilled by our cloud process yet. You can also specify which Topics to run it for if you would like.
Go to the MyCurator Logs menu item and you will see all of the articles found by MyCurator. In the messages column will be the reason why they are not posted to your Training Posts. You can also see the date found. Usually articles are not posted to the Training Posts because of keywords not found. You can also choose Error from the Article drop down and see if there are any errors.
You can send screen shots to us at support at target-info.com.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] “Not Acceptable!” Error messageThe problem seems to be on your server, the host is using mod_security in your server and that generates this message as the URL we are writing doesn’t seem to pass its test. Here is a link to a fix for WordPress: https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/apache-mod-security-update-how-to-fix-error-406-or-not-acceptable-issue-259
Also, you could tell your host the error you are having and send them a copy of the Get It code that is being dragged (in the box below the draggable Get It). They may be able to fix it for you.
