In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] Thumbs not showing?The switch for the AI engine is the “Choose Type” field in the Topics page. If you set this to Video, it turns off the classification engine and embeds the video it finds into the post. This usually finds a video from a youtube feed.
If you set this to Relevance it turns on the classification engine and uses the text from the web page to classify the article. It will not embed videos though. If it finds videos they may be in the Saved Page Metabox that you see when you make the post into a draft, below the editor window.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] Thumbs not showing?Unfortunately, our AI classification program doesn’t work with Video. It is a much harder task that maybe Google could do but not us. That is why you only see the trash can and no thumbs up or down. You won’t be able to auto post videos based on classification. That will only work with text based articles.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] Link Post Title to Original ArticleYou would have to set that up through your theme. MyCurator just creates a standard WordPress post. The theme creates the link on the title, usually to the single post page. There is no ‘link’ stored with the title in a standard post. Most likely this would have to be a customization to your theme.

For the record, a Topic not saving is usually a Cacheing problem and can be fixed with some settings on the cache plugin. If you would like to work through the issue we’d be very happy to help.
Again, sorry for not supporting you and leaving you with a bad experience with MyCurator.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] Thumbs-Down for Generic ImageUnfortunately we don’t have the technology to work with images. MyCurator only classifies the text of the articles. So using the thumbs down will apply to the text of the article, not the image, which may not be what you want. You will need to change the image when you are in the editor.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] Image Caption Appearing in ExcerptIn the Options menu item, Format tab is an option “Excerpt length in words:” that you can set to the number of words in the excerpt. The excerpt is always taken from the beginning of the article. You can easily change the excerpt in the WordPress editor. The full text is in the Saved Page metabox below the post, and you can just click on any yellow highlighted paragraph to add to your post.

The theme will control all of the CSS used to display the pos and he image. Most themes have some ways to enter custom CSS. You could ask the theme provider what CSS you might need to change to block the caption from being displayed.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] Image Caption Appearing in ExcerptThe display of the image is controlled by your theme. It looks like a featured image, so you could check and see if there are any options in your theme for controlling the featured image display.
In MyCurator we have an Option to “Use Post Title for Image Title & Alt Tag” that if you clear it will use whatever titles and tags the image has originally, which many times is none.
You can also edit the image in the Media library and take out the captions.

In reply to: [MyCurator Content Curation] Class Column on Training PageYes, if the article is classified you can change it by training it with the thumbs up or down. For instance if it is classified as not sure you can train it as good with the green thumbs up and the class column will change.

You can train the system using the green thumbs up for good articles and the red thumbs down for bad articles. After training with 10 or so articles you should start seeing each new article classified as good, bad or not sure. You can then focus on the good articles to speed up your review.
