Edit: Realised we might not be using the same gallery, sorry if I got your hopes up.
Hello cyjosh! I have(had) the same problem and was on the brink of smashing my head through the monitor 😉
I actually got it to work by clicking somewhere on the gallery so it becomes “selected”(a blue frame should appear around the gallery) and after that the edit-button worked.
Please share if that worked for you aswell.
