In reply to: [Magazine Basic] Issues With Jetpack Stats Bar and site trafficHey Magnus,
My problem consisted of the footer .php being altered. That is what caused the Jetpack plugin to malfunction. I don’t know if that is your problem but just thought I would add some more info.
I found the problem, has nothing to do with the plugin or theme.

In reply to: [EasyRotator for WordPress - Slider Plugin] Plugin Not Writing To DirectoryHey guys,
Our PHP handler is SuPHP, so we ran a permissions check and fix to ensure permissions are proper.
After this was done, things seemed to work normally. I hope this helps.

In reply to: [Redirection] WP-Login RedirectingI haven’t used this plugin in a while because I made changes to my server that handle this automatically.
Check your settings for the plugin, you may have added your homepage into one of the fields, remove it, log out then back in and things should work again.
Note, I see that you have to hit “switch” in order for it to render properly. Is this a FB error?

In reply to: [Search & Replace] replacing all domain name with new siteThanks for the suggestion. A 301 plugin would work for someone who has a small amount of posts, but as you stated, being that I have over 3,500, it would be quite a tedious effort 🙂
I think manipulating that .htaccess would be the best way to go.

In reply to: [Search & Replace] replacing all domain name with new siteQuick note: I am not looking to just forward the domain, I would like someone looking for – oldsite.com/some-unique-post, to be redirected to – newsite.com/some-unique-post

In reply to: [Quick Page/Post Redirect Plugin] How To Remove RedirectsI guess the problem for me would be that this would have to be manually for the 5,000+ posts I have correct?

In reply to: [Quick Page/Post Redirect Plugin] How To Remove RedirectsI copied all of the content from the old site (exact mirrored copy) to the new site, the only difference would be the domain name, everything else is the same.
I would like to have all of the posts on the old domain redirect to the corresponding posts on the new site.
Can you list the steps for me to take to accomplish this please?
I also think I found the reason why someone who has added the redirection plugin cannot stop the redirect 😉 and may think this has something to do with your plugin.

In reply to: [Quick Page/Post Redirect Plugin] How To Remove RedirectsDon I have a quick question. Does your plugin allow for me to redirect to a new Domain name wit the same string as the old one?
Ex:
http://www.oldsite.com/**original string**
to
http://www.newsite.com/**original string**

In reply to: [Quick Page/Post Redirect Plugin] How To Remove RedirectsThis problem seemed to have occurred with the ‘redirection’ plugin. If a user simply deactivates/removes the plugin and clears the browser cache, the problem should stop.
I am currently investigating to see if any code was left behind that needs to be fished out so if a user wants to continue to use the plugin but correct the error.

In reply to: [Quick Page/Post Redirect Plugin] URL and Permalink redirectHey Don,
I appreciate all the info. Since you were so kind to give so much info, I will be a little more specific with what I am trying to do and I saw that you explained the registrar level may be the best fit.
I imported all of the content from the old site into the new site so that now the only URL difference between the two would be the root domain. The posts permalinks are identical.
I wish to redirect users from the old domain to the new one but have never done this before.
I will be working with cPanel or FTP if you have any knowledge you can throw at me.
Jeremy,
Thanks for the reply. I am using Super Cache but will contact the developers with your suggestion. Thank you.
