In reply to: [MailPoet Newsletters (Previous)] Disabled OPT IN – still message to confirmIs there any more robust way that we can change this? Surely editing the plugin files directly will mean that our edits would be over-ridden on an update?
And surely this is a really often-requested thing? I expect everyone that’s not using subscription confirmation would need it.
This fixed it for me too. Thanks @choicesnz for posting that.
Who would have thought!
I’ve just started using this plugin and have the same issue (though with a different PID).
The backup however appeared to complete correctly.
If I can send any logs or anything else to help fix it, I will.

In reply to: [MailPoet Newsletters (Previous)] Send mail using built-in `wp_mail` functionEmail Log is a really useful plugin, and there have been several times when I wanted to check what emails MailPoet has sent, but have been unable to.
Looking forward to when this might be possible!

In reply to: [Swift SMTP (formerly Welcome Email Editor)] Doesn't workThanks for the update! Howevever I re-installed the plugin and found exactly the same issue as I said in the OP.
While testing it with emails to admin, it works beautifully, but with new users registering, it doesn’t do what it’s meant to.
New users register using a Formidable Pro form, which requires users to verify their email address. This may be related.

In reply to: [Postie] Posts with tags in the message appearing blankHi Wayne,
Thank you very much for the prompt support. I’ll look forward to the fix then.
And thank you for the great plugin.
Thank you very much, Pippin. I hadn’t thought of wrapping it in
is_user_logged_in().Resolved!
Thanks very much for getting back to me!
I’m not using a standard WordPress registration form. I’m using Formidable Pro. Do you think that is the issue?
I’m getting this on several sites. As soon as a user submits a form that includes the Formidable Pro registration action, they are added to a the ‘WordPress users’ list and are set to ‘subscribed’ – even if they haven’t activated their new account by clicking a link in a welcome email (part of the Formidable action), and even if they haven’t confirmed their subscription to any other MailPoet lists. They are automatically and instantly asigned ‘subscribed’ status.
Thanks for the update, Sean. Good to see you’re working on this plugin – it provides much-needed functionality!
