Hi @lwwds2013,
Where do you get that error? Is this in the WordPress plugin?
If you see this on https://speedtest.optimole.com/, that message is shown when the site tested is already using Optimole. It’s a small glitch on our end, which we are looking into it.
Can you share with me your site to have a closer look? You can get in touch here https://optimole.com/#contact
Looking forward to helping you!
Hi @lwwds2013,
It has never been an issue, only a misunderstanding.
Optimole works just fine, let me know if I can help you with anything.
Hello, @skylinks,
Unfortunately, this is not possible right now. We think that if you don’t want to serve images to some type of users, you can block them through the firewall or the hosting provider. Serving optimized/unoptimized images based on the type of users is not really possible as this can not be integrated with our infrastructure.
I’m happy to hear that you liked Optiomle but sad to hear that you don’t see enough value paying for it.
Have a nice day!
Hi,
You can find here the daily distribution stats https://dashboard.optimole.com/visitors and the number is counted from the day of the month since you signed up + 1 month. I.e if you signed up on 24th of Jan, the time when the visits are counted is 24th Jan -> 24th Feb for the current month.
We don’t use the same mechanism of filtering visitors like Google Analytics, so that’s why you might see a difference. For instance, we count any visits on your site, either there is a bot or human. Analytics might ignore bots in those cases. Also, we count the users using AdBlocking solutions, Analytics doesn’t.
Just to remind, our stats are daily, i.e if you have two visits from the same user into two different days, they will be counted as 2. If you have two visits from the same user, on the same day, they will be counted as one.
I hope this helps !
Hey @khadar12,
Can you get in touch with us on https://optimole.com/#contact?
It might be a misconfiguration error with your environment and we will be happy to help you solve this.
Looking forward to helping you!
Hey @flemmingh,
Yes, that would be great. You can get in touch with us on https://optimole.com/#contact before you do this, in order to check that right away.
Thanks a lot for your help!
Hello @flemmingh,
I’m not sure what exactly was the issue as I’m not able to see it on your site right now, however, I will look over and see if there is any kind of conflict.
Thanks for your reporting !
Hello @michaelnorth,
That’s interesting. How would you imagine the cropping to be set for a specific image? How would you integrate this ideally in your workflow, assuming that we would have this available?
I’m asking this because Optimole already do the cropping based on the WordPress image sizes defined by https://developer.ww.wp.xz.cn/reference/functions/add_image_size/ so I’m asking how we could improve this more.
Thanks a lot for your feedback!
Hello @rargames,
Do you have any live links to see this?
I have a hunch that those images are loaded via AJAX and we don’t replace those if the user who is viewing this is logged in.
If you test this non-logged in, you should see those replaced.
We have this approach to avoid saving the replaced links back to databases, on AJAX requests that save data to DB.
I hope this helps!
Hello,
Can you try to disable the Scale Images and Lazyload setting from the Optimole’s WordPress settings area?
Let me know if this fixes the issue.
Hello,
It seems this is due to the lazyload threshold that we use, which might be a bit different from the one that PSI test.
I will do some testing and investigation on my end to see which one might be the most appropriate in this case.
Thanks!
Hello @michaelnorth,
Sorry to hear that. I’ve fixed the contact link now and you should be able to reach us.
In case that is not working, you can use [email protected] to reach out.
Once that I get the email you used for the account, I would be able to check what happened.
Thanks!
Hello @rockstaremperor,
Happy to hear that you sorted out.
Hey @rockstaremperor,
Not sure exactly, might be some js scripts that trigger some DOM update via AJAX or similar.
