Oh thank the lord, I found the answer.
Thank you for your help, Shadez, I really appreciate the effort. The “projects” have to be posts, I can’t make them pages, it has something to do with the way the theme is set up.

I have the three projects on the bottom that are seperate from the blog. I want them to have their own url structure like /filmlandscape or /project/filmlandscape
then there is the blog at the top when you click follow, I want the posts within the blog to read /follow/%postname%
Every reported solution I’ve seen leads back to the link you gave, but I can’t find anything in it with relevance to this problem.
If I’m correct it seems like I’m trying to make all posts outside of the three “projects” at the bottom have a permalink parent of /follow/
