    Hi jpgupdraft,
Thanks for the link to the Elementor troubleshooting page.
Point 4, “Optional) Reset the Google fonts load,” resolved the issue.
The ticket can be closed as resolved.

Did you clear the browser cache?:
That was the first thing I did. no effect.

Do you have a cache plugin running in your site? Does your server have a caching system configured? Do you use a CDN service by any chance?:

3 times no – as far as I know

    Kind regards.

This happens all the time in my Firefox browser.
In other browsers it only happened occasionally.
I know from one member that he had the problem with multiple browsers.
I don’t have any reports from other members.
But I don’t know whether other members use the Firefox browser.
Is there perhaps a setting in the Firefox browser that causes this or can i change something in the Membership plugin for the Firefox browser?

    Best regards

    to “Force WP User Synchronization”:
    Thanks for your info
    to “Edit your profile”:
I’m logged in as a member

OK. I have now checked it on the staging page and deactivated and reactivated plugins.
I then received the following message when adding the member:
“WordPress account exists with given username. But the given email doesn’t match.
Use a different username to complete the registration.
If you want to use that username then you must enter the correct email address associated with the existing WP user to connect with that account.”
There used to be another member with the same email address, but we had already deleted him.
Apparently the WP user account was not deleted.
But I have to say that this message was not displayed to me on the Produktiv website.
I had already deleted the previous member in the plugin when the problem occurred.
Now I went back to the Produktiv website, searched for the previous WP user, found and deleted it.
Then adding the new member with the same email address finally worked.
I still have two additional questions.

    1. Should “Force WP User Synchronization” be activated in the settings?
    2. I keep having the problem that after logging into the member area, when you call “Edit your profile” (opens in a new tab), the message appears “You are not logged in.
This happens almost always in Firefox, but occasionally in other browsers.

We administer the website wcf.de for a club.
Eligible members will only be added by us at the direction of the board.
Registration by members themselves is not offered.
The instructions on the site you gave me didn’t help.
I add members all the time and until yesterday it always worked without any problems.
Is there perhaps a quantity limit?
Or what else could be the problem?

The plugin is installed in the membership site.
But the page to be protected is outside of the WordPress installation.

    Kind regards

Hi, Do you maybe have another idea?
Or to put it another way, how does the plugin ensure that specific pages are blocked for unauthorized persons?

    Kind regards

    Hi,
Unfortunately it doesn’t work with Locking Down/Hiding Some Specific Page URLs from Anonymous Visitors.
As mentioned, the shop is installed outside of wordpress but in the same domain path (httpdocs) on the server.
Do you have any other idea?

    Kind regards

    Addendum:
It should also be impossible for an unauthorized person to register via login or when making a purchase.

After installing the new version, it works now.
    Many thanks for the help.
    One more question:
It is necessary that the members are also created as wp users, right?

    Hello again,

I had our programmer look at the whole thing. This is what he wrote to me:

A new user is created in the database table of the plugin, but the password is in plain text in the table as it is in the email.
When logging in, an encrypted password is expected, so the login does not work.
If I set an encrypted password manually in the database, I can use it to log in.

This is a definite bug in the plugin that the developers should fix.

    Kind regards

At the Bulk member Import plugin is written:

    Set a Default Password
You can use it to set a default password for all the accounts that you will import. If you leave it empty, a random password will be generated for the imported accounts. The members will be able to change the password from the profile edit page of your site.

    Send Registration Complete Email
Check this option if you want the registration complete email to be sent to the users after account import.

Also seen in instructions https://simple-membership-plugin.com/simple-membership-bulk-import-member-data-csv-file/ .
there i set a default password and checked “Send Registration Complete Email”.
I wrote no password in csv file.
what did i do wrong doing what the plugin tells me to do?

    Kind regards

I deleted now members mkirch, mkirch2 and test3 in simple membership and under WP Users.
Then I did the bulk import with a password. The import worked and I received emails.
    Example email:
    “Dear

    Your registration is now complete!

    Registration details:
    Username: mkirch2
    Password: Test12345

Please login to the member area at the following URL:

    https://wcf.de/en/#elementor-action%3Aaction%3Dpopup%3Aopen%26settings%3DeyJpZCI6Ijk4NDgiLCJ0b2dnbGUiOmZhbHNlfQ%3D%3D

    Thank You”
I followed the link and entered the username and password manually.
But the login module reappeared with the message “Password Empty or Invalid.”.
I’ve tried Firefox and Microsoft Edge.
I wasn’t logged into WordPress either.
    I imported 3 members: mkirch, mkirch2 and test3.
mkirch and mkirch2 were also registered as users in WordPress, but not test3.
Urgent help please! I have to import a lot of members and they should be able to receive an email, log in and edit their profile.
    Kind regards,
    Nuray

    Yes i did.
    the import also worked.
But when I clicked the login link in the “Registration Complete” email and entered the username and password from the email, the message “Password Empty or Invalid.” Appears.
I also tried both when importing:
default password and the field left blank for a random password.
