Jacob, thank you very much. I’ve set up various IPTC attributes on sample pictures and on upload the data are stored and 2#025 saved as tags. Now I have the simple job of updating all my photos 🙂
I am the friend Chris messaged you about. I am new to WordPress as well as WPPA. Using Adobe Bridge, I’m batch updating my photos to the IPTC field named Keywords (like Title, Description, etc.) with place names & people in the picture. Confusingly, Windows Explorer calls this data Tags.
Doing it in batch lets me update dozens of photos at a time and that’s against the hi-res originals. The data is carried forward to the lo-res images I upload.
I don’t fully understand what “You can now enter IPTC and EXIF keywords as tags…” means. By IPTC keywords do you mean Title, Description, etc. and not the values I enter? And I presume when you say “tags” you refer to WPPA tags not what Windows Explorer means.
And where exactly do I enter the keywords – during upload or import?
Sorry to be so verbose but I’m trying to be clear about the limitations of my understanding at present about WP & WPPA
