Ok it’s done, but the problem isn’t solved. I can’t get the test mail sent. The host I’m using is one.com.

I made and a mailaccount ([email protected]). As a test I tried to set up the account into my mac OS ‘mail’; Carefully following these instructions: http://www.one.com/en/support/guide/mail/setting-up-mail-os-x. Receiving emails was no problem, sending however I could only do after entering my password again. Could this be what went wrong?

Thanks a lot. I’m trying to set up a new SMTP. I learned from the conversation “events manager not emailing” that this could be the way out of the problem. As soon as I managed to set this up, I’ll test it.

Thanks for your rapid response!

I’m using Version 5.5.5. I did indeed try to change the Email Settings, but nether WP Mail, Qmail, Sendmail, PHP mail function, SMTP works. The strange thing is that everything work fine in the beginning, but after changing the default messages and trying to subscribe myself a few times (each time with a different mailadress), it stop working.

What could I have done wrong? How could I fix this?
