Regarding your concern Widget Options is still being supported and working on the latest WordPress version. It’ll continue doing so. It’s just premium support takes higher priority that free ones. The core WordPress theme is working on this though : [https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/45882](https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/45882). As far as I know they are refactoring block registration for third party plugins compatibilities. I’ve created an issue on the plugin Github repo to keep track on the progress : [https://github.com/phpbits/block-options/issues/7](https://github.com/phpbits/block-options/issues/7). I’ll let you know once the WordPress devs has concrete solution.
