Thanks for helping out Ken, you were right, there was indeed a bug in my theme.
However, there are still a couple of things that don’t work so well in my case so I will be looking for another solution.

Hi Ken,
thanks for your super fast reply! I am surprised that there is a bug in our theme because we have spent real money on it, and it has been very stable in the past, and this problem has never materialised with any other plugin that we use.
Any how, if there is a quick fix, then yes I am interested to know how to proceed. If it is too complex and risks to mess up our theme, then that won’t work for us.
