In reply to: My technology blogI don’t like the colours. The heavy use of navy blue clashes with the black background.
Personally – Minimalist white 100% of the time.

In reply to: Adding an Image Map to a Header GraphicWhy are you embedding social media icons into the header? That is never done these days. I haven’t heard of image maps since 2002!
Such icons are mostly (virtually always!) displayed separate to the header. Separate your background – your title and whatever else you got there.
Do not have a header that is just one image file. It will load slower and look bad.
That is my advice.

In reply to: Blurry images and no RSS feedI am not that much familiar with GIMP. I use Adobe. See if you can download their trial version of Fireworks – excellent for web graphics – you won’t have any problems.
As for text editor – you don’t need anything special at all. Just use notepad free with all windows – or any available on Mac.
Else there are many available free:

In reply to: Content Not Loading in Backupah…
I can access the wrkengrs.com/wp-admin/ page, but it’s linked with the Old site, that’s hosted on a different service.
The new site will only point to “wrkengrs.com” when you update your domain setting with the new name servers. You could do that – wait and then access the new site using “wrkengrs.com/wp-admin/”
———
Is there a way to use wp-admin panel that’s connected to this new site?
Yes but I don’t know the address of you new site. Post that and which hosting are you using.
———-
If not, where to I upload the XML file into the wp database in my new hosting account?
You do need the access to the new site.
———–
In short – if nothing else is working – just point your domain to the new hosting – wait until it get updated that access it that way. Then you will be able to upload the xml file.

In reply to: Content Not Loading in BackupI’m able to download an XML backup of all my content (pages, posts etc) but I don’t know what to do with it now that I have it.
Go into tools and import – in your new hosting then upload that XML file.
PS – You might need to download and activate the plugin – that will happen automatically – go ahead with that

In reply to: Vertical-align:middle on #pagehttp://blog.themeforest.net/tutorials/vertical-centering-with-css/
P.S.: Don’t suggest me to use position:absolute and negative margins because my website doesn’t have a fixed height
Vertical height isn’t easy – if you are that keep think about changing to position:absolute and making content scrollable.

In reply to: Visibility of parent page and not child pages in menu barIt depends on the version of WP and your theme – newer versions 2.9+ allow you to control exactly which pages to display.
Upgrade WP and add support for the new menu system.
