In reply to: [Plausible Analytics] Track taxonomies of other post typesthank you, happy to hear that! We plan to expand goals and properties to cover more use cases out of the box in the plugin in future. site search and woocommerce integration should be coming in the next version for instance

In reply to: [Plausible Analytics] Track taxonomies of other post typesgreat to hear that Matt! we will merge this for the 2.1 release and will also make it so that all the custom props get displayed in the dashboard directly without you manually needing to add them in site settings similarly to how it works with authors and categories

In reply to: [Plausible Analytics] Track taxonomies of other post typesthanks for reaching out Matt and glad to hear that the plugin works well for you!
yeah, those are the correct instructions. there are three different methods to do this that are listed there but they all do require you to insert a piece of code only on the specific post types that you want to track. this is what our plugin does automatically for authors and categories.
I’m not familiar with custom taxonomies unfortunately. do they have templates and such on which you could manually insert that piece of code so it only runs on those specific pages?
also I have added this as an idea for what we can try and explore in order to support this out of the box in one of the upcoming versions of our plugin too. no promises on this but we’ll see what can be done.
hope this makes sense, thanks!

In reply to: [Plausible Analytics] Track site search termsno problem! it might work as it’s using the manual snippet which doesn’t do anything by default but i haven’t tested this unfortunately. you can try and run it at the same time first to see how it behaves. but otherwise it’s either removing the plugin to do it all manually or waiting until we build this feature in the plugin. sorry for the inconvenience!

In reply to: [Plausible Analytics] Track site search termshi!
this is unfortunately not possible with the plugin at this stage. we plan to introduce this feature into the plugin in one of the upcoming releases but I cannot make any promise on when this will be at the moment.
currently, it should be possible to manually set up tracking of site search terms using these instructions: https://plausible.io/docs/custom-query-params
I hope this makes sense. thanks for your patience with this!

In reply to: [Plausible Analytics] Self Host + Proxyhi @edwardbock and thanks for the kind words! WP plugin proxy is an exclusive feature for our cloud subscribers so they can run our script as a first-party connection from their domain name similarly to how self-hosting already works out of the box. thanks!
