Thanks for the info! I’m not sure where your blog is located. I don’t have a blog but I do have 2 galleries of images. They aren’t plugins though…just normal gallery through wordpress.
I want people to be able to click on an image and share it on social media, most importantly LinkedIn and Facebook. I am fine with adding it individually to each picture if it will work.
Here are the 2 galleries:

Will the Facebook and LI icon appear on when someone hovers these images?

Thanks so much for sharing! Unfortunately since I don’t want to log votes on each image, that plugin won’t work. Just need one that will share the specific image to Facebook and LinkedIn. I don’t understand why this is so difficult!
Please let me know if you ever find anything that will work to do this, and I will keep you in the loop if I do track one down!

If so, can you please tell me the name? I can’t seem to find one that works to share the correct image (they all pull any image from the image gallery instead of the image that wants to be shared).

Did you find a plugin that will work to share images on Facebook and linkedin? If so, can you please post the name of it and a link to your site so I can see it in action?
I have yet to find a plugin that works to share the selected image from an image gallery….so frustrating! They just seem to share whatever picture on the page they want to share!

Doesn’t look like you heard back from this plugin person. I posted something a few days and haven’t heard back either.
Your post says there are quite a few plugins with this functionality…I can’t find any except for this one and Social Share On Image Hover.
Do you know of any others?
I have an image gallery on my site and I’m trying to find a way for a person to click on a specific image and share it on Facebook and linkedin. Many of the ones I’ve tried, don’t let you share a specific image. Seems like they randomly choose which image on the page to share (and it isn’t the one you want to share!).
If you know of a plugin that can do this, will you please respond?
