Good question. I have the same issue and some other questions.
On the sitemap index, WordPress SEO Plugin correctly has 5 sub XML sitemaps per type of content. Once i look at the specific sitemaps, some list the pages in all the languages but “category” & “tag” sitemaps only list my defaut language pages

Is there a way around this ? All my pages are correctly indexed so i supose the plugin is doing the trick !

I’m under Mac OS, i’ve tested the display with different browsers & with different settings of the plug-in. I have found that it will work on chrome if the marker animation is activated.
Here are the results.
Chrome :
Marker animated : Map Shows / Marker not animated : Map doesn’t showSafari :
