In reply to: [Web Stories] Feature Request – disable post dialogue boxOur developer is not able to check yet but “pretty sure” he gave all or most permissions to the subscriber role to ensure users can create and publish without admin approval.
I am not sure if this concerns you but perhaps we can limit the subscriber role permissions to ensure users don’t get this dialogue box but retain access to all else?

I believe the custom capabilities are solely related to permissions that allow users to access our WP admin but confine them to the web story editor beneath our main menu bar.
You’re right about the dialogue box, that’s the one. The reason the link doesn’t work I assume is simply because of the permissions (or lack of them) that we have granted as we do not want our users to create new posts.

In answer to your question: we’re using the subscriber role but with custom permissions so as to confine their access to the editor, but the dialogue box remains for all users
So any mechanism for disabling that feature or dialogue box would be useful for us.
