Yes, it would seem the theme was a red herring.

I appreciate your testing; I have narrowed it down to JetPack Boost and its “Concatenate JS” feature.
Disabling this feature re-activates the buttons.

What I still don’t understand, however, is why deactivating the theme in the first place fixed the issue.

As per my previous message, the conflict seems to be with the theme.

The only way I could share the link is privately, with a password, as the customer has explicitly stated the event must stay private until the ticket system is functional.

Here is a list of the versions:

I have added a screenshot of the current view – the content should be German.
When hovering over the “Get Tickets” button, a “forbidden” icon is displayed, indicating the feature is disabled.
As mentioned before, the DOM also contains “disabled” attributes on said buttons.
