It can occur if the text is added in two lines and once the word is erased, the text will occupy one line and the second line disappears. You can try setting fixed height for the section where the typeout text widget is added so there is always space for the second line of text. Some of the variable weight fonts are built with overlapping vectors and this is up to the font itself. You can try using some other font-families. There are also older versions of these font- families on the internet and you can try to locate and upload them as a custom font, then set them as a font-family for Text Marquee.
