In reply to: [BruteProtect] Increase in Site Down (False) Email Notifications After UpdateHi Sam!
Thanks. I updated our plugins to the latest BP update this morning. Was reviewing the set up via the Dashboard…
All was going well until for about 15 mins or so. Then I received 2 site down notifications for
http://www.standbythemusical.com and http://www.jeffstobie.com
That’s it so far. Both sites are up and running.

In reply to: [BruteProtect] Increase in Site Down (False) Email Notifications After UpdateTotally understand, just asking.
Every site that used BP had the same issue. Yes, we are using caching W3 Total cache, NGINX on the server and we cleared them all. Deactivated them and all plugins. See thread.
However, BP was working fine prior to the last update and we haven’t changed our set up.
The only changes were plugin updates for 4.0, WP itself to 4.0 and PHP to 5.6.
Thanks. No worries. Have a good weekend.

In reply to: [BruteProtect] Increase in Site Down (False) Email Notifications After UpdateOn the other hand, our other sites on a different server are not receiving any false notifications at all. The only difference is it is using PHP 5.4 and on a different provider.

In reply to: [BruteProtect] Increase in Site Down (False) Email Notifications After UpdateTo add, then we get a Site is up notification. Then repeats the cycle all over again from down to Up site notifications.

In reply to: [BruteProtect] Increase in Site Down (False) Email Notifications After UpdateSorry but it is still happening. After a few minutes, our support inbox was filled with BP Site down (false) notifications.
Yes, all the sites call WP Footer (over 90% are on Genesis Framework) and everything used to work fine.
The only changes we have made on our end is that we upgraded to PHP 5.6. Could that affect anything?

In reply to: [BruteProtect] Increase in Site Down (False) Email Notifications After UpdateYes it does. All of our sites use BruteProtect and worked fine prior to the recent updates (2.3.1?) to BruteProtect.
I wonder if those email were left in your Amazon SES queue and just got sent out.
I will keep an eye on it. Thank you for your prompt response and help. 🙂

In reply to: [BruteProtect] Increase in Site Down (False) Email Notifications After UpdateAh okay. I saw they were coming from Amazon SES, so I naturally thought they were sent from our servers. Sounds like you are using it too, Okay.
Thanks for the clarification.

In reply to: [BruteProtect] Increase in Site Down (False) Email Notifications After UpdateThanks Stephen. Sure it does, my server is using Amazon SES vs Postfix to send out email from the server or WP site.
I have deactivated the plugin for now.

In reply to: [BruteProtect] Increase in Site Down (False) Email Notifications After UpdateDang, it was easier and faster to use manageWP to deactivate the plugin. Love using BruteProtect, hopefully this gets resolved ASAP.

In reply to: [BruteProtect] Increase in Site Down (False) Email Notifications After UpdateUnselecting monitoring in BruteProtect section for all of our customer sites. Was hoping there was something in the my.bruteprotect.com to disable it on all sites.
