No, you don’t have to duplicate each page manually.

You can use the plugin to clone a parent page together with all its child pages and keep the same hierarchy. Here’s how:

    1. Open the Duplicate Post RB settings and choose the profile you want to use for cloning these pages.
    2. In the elements to copy section, make sure the Children option is enabled.

With this option turned on, when you duplicate the parent page using this profile, the plugin will automatically:

    • Clone the parent page
    • Clone all its child pages
    • Preserve the full parent/child hierarchy
    • Copy the content from all subpages according to the selected profile settings

So you only need to duplicate the parent once, and the whole structure will be copied for you.

First, please make sure you’re using the correct Duplicate Post profile and that this profile has Title and Content selected for copying.

There are two common reasons for getting a blank duplicate:

    • In the selected profile, the options to copy the title and/or content are disabled.
    • You’re accidentally using a different profile than the one where these options are enabled.

Please open the plugin settings, check which profile is selected when you run duplication, and verify that both Title and Content are turned on for that profile. If everything looks correct and the issue persists, let us know which profile you’re using and we’ll help you investigate further.

Yes, it’s possible! Our plugin supports WP-CLI, so you can automate duplication tasks directly from the command line.

You can use the following command to duplicate one or multiple posts: wp rb-duplicate-post duplicate 3,4,8

Just replace the numbers with the IDs of the posts you want to duplicate. The command accepts multiple IDs in a single request, which makes bulk duplication easy and efficient.

If you need more advanced automation options, feel free to let us know, we’re continuing to expand the CLI toolkit in upcoming releases!

You don’t need to save profile settings manually. Everything is saved automatically right after you make any change. There’s no “Save” button, and no extra confirmation required.

When you create a duplicate, you’ll see a small popup after clicking the Duplicate link. In that popup you can select which profile you want to use for this duplication. This allows you to choose a different profile for each operation, depending on what metadata or settings you want to copy.

If you have any questions about setting up multiple profiles or choosing the best workflow, feel free to ask!

You can create multiple configuration profiles in the plugin, and each profile stores its own set of duplication rules. This allows you to prepare different presets for different use cases for example, one profile can include all metadata, taxonomies, featured image, and custom fields, while another can copy only the basic content.

When you open the duplication popup, you can choose how many copies to create and select which profile should be applied for that specific action. This gives you flexibility to use different duplication configurations for different types of content or different workflows, without having to change the global settings every time.

Support for even more advanced profile logic (including profiles per post type) is coming in the next updates.

The current version doesn’t include options to control comment settings per post type, so its not possible yet to exclude a specific custom post type.

However, this functionality is coming in the upcoming major update.

The new version will allow full control over where comments are enabled or disabled, including support for all custom post types.

Were also adding multisite support and configuration profiles, so you’ll be able to create several different rule sets and mix them as needed for even more flexible comment management.

If you want, I can notify you when the new version is released.

At the moment, the plugin doesn’t include WP CLI support.

However, we’re already working on a major update, and WP CLI integration is one of the features planned for the upcoming release.

This will allow you to automate tasks like disabling comments or running bulk actions directly from the command line.

If you’d like, I can let you know as soon as the new version becomes available.

Thanks for checking in! At the moment, Duplicate Post works only within the current site. Cross-site duplication across a WordPress Multisite network isn’t supported yet. The good news: full Multisite support (including cross-site copy) is on our roadmap for the next major release we’re targeting in the coming weeks. That update will add options to choose a destination site and handle content, media, taxonomies, and meta during copy.

If Multisite support is critical for you, let me know your use case (what needs to be copied: media, custom fields, taxonomies, custom post types, etc.). We’re using this feedback to prioritize and refine the feature.

Thanks for the suggestion! In the current Duplicate Post RB version there isn’t a built-in option to auto-name clones. This is on our roadmap for the next major release. We’re adding custom naming templates, so you can define different rules per content type.

    That update also includes:

    • Profiles – create separate cloning presets for different needs (e.g., special rules for WooCommerce products vs. blog posts).
    • Granular metadata copy – choose exactly what to clone, including core fields and data from popular plugins: Yoast SEO, Rank Math, ACF, WooCommerce, Elementor, Jetpack, and more.
    • Multisite + batch cloning – clone to other sites in the network and process items in bulk.

Workaround today: after cloning, use Quick Edit in the Posts list to quickly adjust the title. The first major release with these new features is planned within the next two weeks.

Unfortunately, the version of the current form does not support the Google captcha field. We have plans to implement Google captcha support in future form releases.
